Overview:

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as full time, part time, and casual Direct Care Support Workers. As a Direct Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals experiencing developmental disabilities. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with accessing their community
  • Be a role model and help with problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Follow support plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals and behaviour specialists
  • Monitor, report, and document progress towards goals and any changes
  • Assist in coordinating social gatherings and planned group activities

Skills:

  • Experience in human services, specifically disability support is an asset
  • Knowledge of medication administration, positive behaviour support, and person centered care is an asset
  • Knowledge of the local community, organizations, and businesses for potential partnership opportunities
  • Willing to learn and grow in skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid Class 5 driving license
  • Must obtain or have Standard / Intermediate First Aid certificate
  • Must obtain or have satisfactory Vulnerable Sector check from the RCMP
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Availability for shift work, must be willing to work onsite in Lloydminster, AB/SK.
