Downtown Lloydminster is a vibrant heart of the community where people do business, shop, work, live and play. The mission of the Downtown Lloydminster Business Improvement District is to strengthen downtown business growth through promotion and implementation of programs, events and amenities.
The Downtown Lloydminster Business Improvement District is funded by the downtown businesses and property owners through a special levy collected by the City of Lloydminster at tax time. This levy is then provided to the BID who hires the Regional Business Accelerator to carry out the management and administration for the BID. The BID is governed by an 10-person board of directors. The board meets once per month and directs the activities of the BID through the Chamber Executive Director, who manages the staff and carries out the directives of the board. Committees exist as sub-units to the board.
