Director, Community Programs
Pay: CA$33.50-CA$42.62 per hour

Position Overview
SPARK Foundation of Lloydminster is seeking a Director, Community Programs to lead and support the continued growth, impact, and sustainability of our community programming. In this role, you will provide both strategic direction and day-to-day oversight, working closely with the Community Program teams to develop and evaluate programs, build strong community partnerships, and identify funding opportunities.
You’ll also help ensure our programs are delivered with a high standard of care, safety, and financial responsibility. This position plays an important role in strengthening our connection to the community and ensuring our services continue to meet evolving needs. The ideal candidate is an organized and thoughtful leader who values collaboration, communicates effectively, builds strong relationships, and is passionate about community-focused, client-centered work.
Fixed Hours
40 hours/week
Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Community Programs to ensure sustainability, quality, and alignment with organizational goals
- Lead and support the Community Program teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and fostering a positive team culture
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure effective, client-centered service delivery
- Manage facility operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards of service
- Build and maintain strong community partnerships to support collaboration and program growth
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities in collaboration with senior leadership, including proposal development and reporting
- Oversee budgets and financial processes to ensure the financial health of Community Programs
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and risk management practices to support safe and effective operations
- Support strategic and operational planning, including tracking progress and reporting on outcomes
- Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
- Post secondary degree in human services, social sciences, or related industry.
- 5 years' experience with managing teams and delivering on outcomes.
- A strong understanding of the issue of family violence, vulnerable and at-risk youth, and/or the non-profit sector would be an asset.
- Understanding the dynamics of recreation-based youth center and/or community-based services operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
