Crisis Support Worker
Wage: $24.00-$29.52 per hour
As a Full-time employee, you will:

Earn vacation time accumulated at a rate of 6% of hours worked immediately upon hire.

Full time, Permanent Position:?includes 10-hour shift work (daytime, evenings, overnights, weekends, weekdays and holidays), scheduled on a 28-day rotation.

Position Overview
The Crisis Support Worker:

Contributes to the day-to-day program and facility operations of the Interval Home Emergency Shelter.

Provides meaningful and impactful crisis and practical supports to women and children fleeing family violence, ensuring excellent client services through best practices and effective case management.

Provides crisis support to individuals accessing the Interval Home support line, complete shelter admission assessments and intakes.

Supports women and families with their day-to-day routines, practical needs, and activities.

Maintains timely, accurate, factual, and professional documents in accordance with SPARK policies and procedures.

Coordinates and assists in meal preparation, room cleaning, general housekeeping, house laundry, gardening and facility maintenance.

Contributes to maintain a high standard of health, cleanliness, and safety in all areas of the facility. Complies with all emergency processes and risk management.
Experience and Competencies:

Diploma or degree in a human service field is preferred, but a combination of related training and experience will be considered.

Knowledge and understanding of the issue of family violence, and trauma aware supports.

Previous experience in related field would be an asset

A valid driver's license combined with a 3-year clean driving history is preferred.
