Founded in 1972, Bea Fisher Organization is a pivotal service in the community of Lloydminster, AB/ SK to more than 100 individuals with Developmental Delays, and employs over 200 staff. Overview: We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Human Resources, reporting to the CEO. As Director of Human Resources, you will play a vital role in managing human resource programs, policies, and procedures across all Bea Fisher companies. This position offers the opportunity for organizational development and assisting our organization with maintaining the best Human Resource practices possible through research and projects. Responsibilities: Managing all human resource operations across the Organization(s); compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, training and development, recruitment and selection, wellness and safety. Conducting preliminary screening of potential job candidates, facilitating interviews, as part of the employee recruitment process. Executing comprehensive retention strategies to attract, motivate, and retain top talent, including initiatives such as career development opportunities and performance recognition programs. Collaborating closely with senior management team to problem solve, propose new initiatives, and recommend updates to policies and procedures. Oversee and coach fellow HR staff members to execute HR functions effectively. Ensuring Organization policies and Human resource practices meet all government standards in the disability sector. Providing guidance on legislative and Agency requirement to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Foster organizational development and continually improving company culture. Track, analyze, and report key HR data to the CEO. Facilitate training and orientations as needed (formal and informal). Skills: Leadership experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop interpersonal relationships. Extensive knowledge of both Alberta and Saskatchewan Labour Standards Experience researching, updating, and implementing various human resource procedures. Passionate about helping others Excellent planning and organizational skills Project management skills Ability to be an effective Team member Ability to navigate and guide others through periods of transition and change Skills in translating business strategies into actionable HR plans. Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources preferred CPHR Designation is considered an asset Knowledge and understanding of the Disability Support Sector is an asset Strong familiarity with Alberta and Saskatchewan provincial laws regulating employee relations, employment standards and human rights. Public speaking an asset.
