Small Motors Teacher

Lloydminster Catholic School Division invites applications for a full-time Small Motors/Automotives Teacher (1.0 FTE 100%) at Holy Rosary High School commencing on August 28th, 2023.
Lloydminster Catholic School Division is a progressive Saskatchewan School Division with an enrolment of 1060 at Holy Rosary High School. 
 
Lloydminster Catholic School Division operates within a bi-provincial city, providing a full range of educational programming to approximately 2900 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12.
DEFINITION:
To provide classroom instruction through direct instruction, demonstration, laboratory exercises, responding to questions, and testing to guide students through the basics of small engine theory, maintenance and repair.
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students

• Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities
• Develop and prepare supplemental materials to enhance lessons
• Provide classroom demonstrations on various equipment and machinery; develop laboratory assignments to provide hands on experience as appropriate
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

• Classroom and shop instructional techniques and procedures
• Small engine theory
• Internal combustion engines, engine operation, fuel systems, governor systems, compression systems, electrical and ignition systems, cooling and lubrication systems, 
• General safety and tools
• Troubleshooting and maintenance
