Supply Chain Generalist

About the Position
BAR is seeking a Supply Chain Generalist to join our Energy Division. The Supply Chain Generalist will play a key role in maintaining project success by leading supply chain processes and activities. They will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and, cost effective supply of goods and services. This role requires strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Specifically, your duties and responsibilities will be to:

• Procurement and sourcing including buying materials, finding vendors, and negotiating basic contracts.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements for supply of materials and services.
• Collaborate with project teams to align material and service requirements with schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders in compliance with company policies and client requirements.
• Inventory and materials management including monitoring stock levels, forecasting demand and reducing waste.
• Logistics and warehousing including coordinating shipping, track deliveries, and manage storage or distribution.
• Process optimization by spotting bottlenecks across the entire supply chain system to improve overall efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Data entry of purchasing transactions.

About the Candidate
You will need a Degree in Supply Chain, Business Commerce, or related field.

Other Qualifications:

• Previous experience in supply chain in an engineering or construction environment, is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with colleagues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A hands-on approach to problem-solving and an eagerness to learn.
• Ability to anticipate next steps in the procurement process.
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
