Housing & Homelessness Symposium

Event Sponsors

Gold Horse Casino

Join The Housing Working Group for the Housing & Homelessness Symposium, an important gathering that brings together frontline organizations, advocates, policymakers, and community members to engage in a critical conversation about housing and homelessness in Lloydminster.
This symposium will focus on three key areas:
Providing Context: Understanding the current state of housing in Lloydminster through data, lived experiences, and expert insights.
Identifying Challenges: Examining the root causes of homelessness and the barriers that prevent individuals from accessing stable housing.
Exploring Solutions: Showcasing innovative strategies and best practices that can drive meaningful and lasting change.
Through a combination of presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the housing crisis and work collaboratively to develop actionable solutions. Housing is more than just a place to live—it is the foundation of a thriving, equitable community.

Housing and Homelessness Symposium Awards
The Housing and Homelessness Symposium on May 7, 2025 will focus on the current state of housing, identifying root causes and challenges related to homelessness and exploring innovative solutions that can drive meaningful change. As the day transitions from education, awareness, and networking, we will come together for a celebration—the Awards Ceremony, dedicated to recognizing the unwavering dedication of front-line workers. These individuals, working directly with clients every day, are the heart and soul of our community’s progress.

Awards Ceremony has been cancelled.
While the ceremony has been cancelled due to low nominations, the nomination period remains open until May 14, and we will recognize award winners at a later date.

Nominations close on Wednesday, May 14th at 11:59 p.m.
