As the fundraising partner for the 17 AHS cancer centres, we make life better for Albertans facing cancer by supporting world-class research and patient care, right here in our own backyard.
By making a gift to the Alberta Cancer Foundation in support of your local cancer centre, including the Lloydminster Community Cancer Centre, you are supporting improvements within the centres and enhancing the level of care provided. Some of these improvements include providing new medical equipment, advanced oncology training for healthcare professionals, as well as initiatives focused on enriching the overall experience for patients and their families. Last year, 63,334 patients — who visited the cancer centres 785,901 times — benefited from these improvements.
The Alberta Cancer Foundation is proud to continue investing in local and regional cancer centres to power change and accelerate discovery right here at home.
Cancer doesn’t discriminate by geography, and Albertans across the province are facing this disease every day. Thanks to investments made by our donors, we can provide support to all cancer centres in Alberta, so that patients receive excellence in care and the majority of treatments within 100 km of their home. World-class equipment, technology and personnel in these centres are changing the lives of patients facing cancer as well as their families.
